Sunset boat elopements in Spain
Need wedding ideas? Want a wedding that takes you away from it all, without any stress? How about a sunset boat elopement on Spain’s Costa Tropical! Leave your guests behind and escape just the two of you to one of the most romantic ceremony locations in the sunshine.
Have your wedding whenever you want
Because your marriage and your wedding are two totally different things, you can actually contract your legal marriage in your own country before you go off on your destination wedding elopement, or when you get back from your ceremony in the sunshine.
As long as you do contract your marriage with your registrar at some stage (it can be as simple as saying 40 words plus your names and signing the register with 2 witnesses) then there is nothing that says that you have to have your wedding celebrations at the same time. Nothing.
Boat weddings on the Costa Tropical
Spain’s lesser known Costa Tropical is only one hour from Malaga airport and one hour from Granada airport. With whitewashed fishing villages hugging the seafront and vast snow covered mountains behind, it truly is the real Spain. And yes, at certain times of the year you can ski in the morning and sunbathe in the afternoon!
Marina del Este is a small harbour near to Almunecar and home to a pretty vintage fishing boat that can cater for up to 40 guests for a small wedding or a luxury catamaran for the most romantic elopement wedding ceremony you can imagine.
Celebrant led ceremony and sunset cruise
Your ceremony will be officiated by a local English speaking wedding celebrant who will include whatever wording, traditions or rituals are special to you.
You will then have the option of a romantic onboard wedding breakfast and a sunset cruise out into the bay to go dolphin watching during what the local photographers here call, “The Golden Hour” – to take the most beautiful photos.
